Music: Mercy Chinwo, Tope Alabi, HLE Tops Boomplay’s 2020 Most Streamed Female Artists List

Congratulations are in order for Nigeria gospel music powerhouses, Mercy Chinwo and Tope Alabi as they make Boomplay’s 2020 list of the Most Streamed Nigerian Female Artistes.

The popular music streaming platform took to social media to reveal the Top 3 on the list with Mercy ranking at No. 2 and Tope following close at No. 3.  2020 witnessed a “Satisfied” album from Mercy Chinwo marking her sophomore project and closing on almost 5 Million streams on Boomplay. South African Contemporary Gospel songstress Hlengiwe Ntombela, popularly known as HLE tops (#1) Boomplay’s 2020 list of Top streamed Female Artistes from Sub-Saharan Africa while Kenyan gospel singer Mercy Masika occupies the No. 3 spot in the same category.  This year also witnessed the release of HLE’s solo-debut album “Your Kingdom On Earth” (YKOE) which provoked positive reactions and commendation from various parts of the world. Masika’s new 11-track LP ‘Zaidi‘ also enjoyed massive attention as well.
